Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) 3G Data Card Launched
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has held hands with Micromax. They have together launched an instrument that will change the fate of national net users. It is a 3G data card. The alliance happened on 18th March, 2009.
With no fixed line or broadband headache, the card promises too much. Only 38 grams in weight and needing 3W
power to work, it gives stunning speed of 153.6 kbps. The card is Interface (PCMCIA) type.
Available for work in 11 cities at present; all in North India, there are plans to cover as much as 700 cities in a matter of 3 months.
The fare it promises will be rich in content. Voice, SMS, incoming call, ring prompts will just be the tip of the iceberg. It may be inserted to a desktop, laptop or phone book. You would be indicated about the present connection speed. Adjustments may be made through a retractable antenna.
The card works best with IS/95 AB and operates with an installment of Windows 2000/XP and Mac Os.3G. These are anyway present in all current PC and laptop setups.
You may need a call activation though for real fast dialing online. International SMS charge will cost as less as 5 rupees. You need to pay installment charges and then monthly fixed charges according to the tariff published.
It is a major innovation to strike the country, as net operations are fast getting popular in villages too nowadays. The apparatus is not suited for roaming as of now though.
