Pakistani Taliban Threatens White House Attack
Pakistani Taliban threatens attack on White House!
No it’s no April Fool news. The commander of the Pakistani Taliban who owned responsibility for assault on Pakistani Police Academy disclosed they had plans of a terrorist attack on the White House. What’s more surprising is the way he admitted it; an attack on the White House that’d amaze the world.
The commander, Baitullah Mehsud, has about $5 million by the US as bounty on his head said the attack on Monday along outskirts of Lahore had been a sample of retaliation for the United States’ missile strike along the borders of Afghanistan.
He threatened by phone; however, gave no further details regarding the attack on the White House.
What’s notable is that the threat arrives few days after the President warned al-Qaida of its plans on attacking the United States from Pakistan.
Baitullah Mehsud is also named the important suspect in the killing of Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto during December 2007. Pakistani alleges that Mehsud has a team of people training in terrorist activities. He owns responsibility of suicide car bombing in Bannu district on Monday and also a suicide attack on police station in Islamabad previous week.
A State Department spokesperson in Washington; however, admits that they will consider Mehsud’s threat seriously.
