Google Voice Search
Voice Search -- The Next BIG thing for Search Engine Wars

Voice search will be the next big thing Google wanted to cash in. According to Vice President Engineering Google, the company sees it quite big to bloat its presence on mobile web. Voice search will be the new searching and Google believes it as core to their business. If all is done well, it could be the right strategy for search engines to claim great share.
In the earlier days voice recognition was not only a difficult search engine task but it was also not so exploited. Users did not have the awareness too. However, thanks to the iPhones and Blackberries, we have passed that phase, and today it’s not only easy but a lot more advantageous, reckons Google.
People at Google also admit that the voice search phenomenon has picked up quite fast, although not really willing to share the statistics of how many voice search queries that Google is currently processing. The Google engineering Vice President Gundotra also admits that the technology will become better with time and usage.
Google had already started the feature on iPhone (through a feature called Google Mobile App) and the accuracy has been increasing according to Google. The service is also extended for Android-based T mobile G1 and on the Blackberry as well and indeed NY Times’ Gadgetwise Blog had given a positive rating for Blackberry version as App of the Week during the last week.
