PFMI 2009 concludes crowning 3 new beauties

The Panataloons Miss India 2009 pageant concluded Sunday night crowning 3 winners. The Pantaloons Miss India Universe 2009 is Delhi-based Ekta Chaudhary and the Pantaloons Miss India World 2009 is Pune based Pooja Chopra and the The Pantaloons Miss India Earth 2009 is Mumbai-based Shriya Kishore.


The 3 damsels were crowned in an open air setting in the Andheri Sports Complex in Mumbai on Sunday evening. The venue is packed full and there was absolutely no room for sitting. The event had R Madhavan and gorgeous Malaika Arora Khan as hosts who never gave any room for silence and monotony with their gags along with co hosts Swapnil Joshi and Karan Wahi had all desi jokes and fun pour on the audience. Three Bollywood divas Priyanka Chopra, Genelia D’Souza and Kangana Ranaut spewed some fire on the stage with some electrifying performances on the PFMI 2009 evening.


The question posed to the three finalists was: “What was the one thing you would ask God if you met him? Why?”


The replies had persona packed. While 23-year-old Pune damsel Pooja Chopra who has an interest for paragliding and kickboxing, said she would ask why certain children were deprived of the love of a mother. The spunky contestant who has been raised by mom quoted the very popular Mother’s Day line that ‘as God couldn’t be everywhere, he created mothers. And, the 22-year-old Mumbai girl Shriya Kishore, answer had mortality issue in it. The PFMI 2009 winners were crowned by last year’s respective title holders, Parvathy Omanakuttan, Simran Kaur Mundi and Tanvi Vyas.


PFMI 2009 finalists’ average height has been 5 feet 8 inches and they modeled the creations of Rajesh and Anirban for Pantaloons, and Prasad Bidapa and Varadha Rajan’s designs for Arabella and Ritu Kumar. They adorned jewelry of Collection G, D’damas and the World Gold Council’s. Check out the photos and pictures of the PFMI 2009.
