Bharti Airtel Launches 16 Mbps Broadband in India

Bharti Airtel launches 16Mbps wired broadband service which will be the fastest wired broadband service inbharti airtel broadband the country so far by any private broadband service provider.

The service is powered by Airtel’s Carrier Ethernet Network and initially available in select cities including Delhi NCR, Chennai and Bangalore with phased release to Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai and Kolkata.

The company says that the service will be given to 70% households of the 3 cities of Delhi NCR, Bangalore and Chennai.

The company delivers the service through Carrier Ethernet Network using the ADSL2+ technology which will facilitate in giving high-speed broadband that is affordable as well as scalable. There will be 2 plans of tariff to choose for the broadband users:

1) Speed Combo Rs. 2999 – Here the customers will receive a broadband speed of 16 Mbps with a monthly limit for data transfer up to 20 GB along with a fixed line connection at Rs. 2999 per month.

2) Speed Combo Rs. 4999 – Here the customers will receive a broadband speed of 16 Mbps with a monthly limit for data transfer up to 50 GB along with a fixed line connection at Rs. 4999 per month.
