The Kiwis must be really thankful  for the showering rain. It prevented India from feasting another test match victory. The third test match between India and New Zealanad ended in a Stale mate. The victory for Indians was just a feet ahead with onyl two wickets remainig to get when rain played spoil sport before the match was decided a Draw. Indians win the test series 1-0. Gautham Gambhir wins the man of the match.

Indians batting unit did their job with best of their ability as they scored 379 & 434/7 dec in first and second innings respectively. The Indian critics back home however are constantly arguing on the time Dhoni declared the innings. An hour of extra play would definitely have given the Indians a happier 2-0 series victory. The bowling unit too delivered goods with a good performance dismissing the Kiwis for a mere 197. In the second outing too, the bowlers came good and were close to sealing of a victory. Harbhajan weaved the test  match with his top spin and doosras. While Zaheer was the man of the moment with a brilliant 5 fer in the first innings and a couple in the second. What a season he has had in New Zealand. It must be his best tour outside India.

After batting well in both the innings, the Indians looked determined to scalp all the ten wickets within no time, as they had got through the initial couple of wickets. The cake walk was then stopped by Ross Taylor with a brilliant hundred and a perseverance Franklin with one run short of his half century. Skipper Vettori looked like he would fight until last man standing and save the match for the black caps when the score board read 281/8  with still 57 overs to be bowled. The bucketing down surely helped him in the cause. The black caps have done well to get the match until here and it has saved a lot of humiliation if they lost the test series with only a match and not 2-0.

A good test match comes to an end and it calls for the curtains to fall on this wonderful season of cricket in New Zealand. We hope you enjoyed the show put up at webhush and shall come back for more cricketing actions in the future. Adios until then.
