Eight more to go and the very popular American Idol has now the songs; the trick part being; ‘songs from the year born’. But for Allison Iraheta all of the contestants were 80 born. The interesting part of the theme is to show photos of contestants in respective baby ages.

First it was Danny Gokey and he performed “Stand by Me”. The judges hinted they still love him.

Next Kris Allen who was born in 1985 sang Don Henley’s “All She Wants to Do is Dance”. Then Lil Rounds sang the 1984 solo number “What’s Love Got to Do With It” of Tina Turner. Anoop Desai renders Cyndi Lauper’s 1986 “True Color”. Judges Randy and Kara complimented him on having a control on song as well as voice. Kara adding that Anoop could interpret his soul in the song. Simon also said it was “very good” adding that Anoop could sometime be like a yo-yo; good and bad at times.

Then Scott MacIntyre played guitar for Survivor’s 1985 “The Search is Over”. Simon asking him to go back to his piano classes.

Allison Iraheta sang Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me”. Randy compares her to the first American Idol Kelly Clarkson and Kara applauds her for taking out the adult content of the song and made it young and fresh.

Then Matt Giraud sang Part Time Lover by Stevie Wonder. Randy said as the best of the night Kara said “unbelievable.” Both Simon and Paula loved it as well.

The last one was Adam Lambert’s. Lambert who was born in 1982 rendered ‘Tears for Fears’ “Mad World”. And Simon Cowell gets up and gives him a standing ovation. Is there any words necessary? The show ended.
