IPL Season 2 Teams

Kings XI Punjab

kings xi punjab ipl 2009

We see some great names here. Sreesanth will bowl after a long time. Preity Zinta must have in store lots of Jaadu ki Jhappi’s to motivate the team.

Chennai Super Kings

chennai super kings ipl 2009The Chennai Super Kings team exuded confidence of yet another repeat of 2008. The team lost to Rajasthan Royals in the finals of IPL season 1 last year. Its coach and player Stephen Fleming believes and is confident that the Chennai Super Kings will go a step further this edition.

Deccan Chargers

Deccan Chargers showed poor charge in almost every match last season despite presence of electrifying players like Adam Gilchrist, Gibbs and Chaminda Vaas. Hopefully this time around they will live up to team name.

Rajasthan Royalsrajasthan royals ipl 2009

This had been one surprise team IPL 1 to emerge the champions. Like a silent tsunami they swept away. Shilpa Shetty co-owner of the league said she will be there to encourage her team. The team song Halla Bol already became a super hit and the team all geared to just repeat their season 1 performance.

Kolkata Knight Riders

knight riders ipl 2009Ah! So, can Ajantha Mendis work some magic through his doosras? Ricky Ponting looks like he is drained off his resources. Only members that are worth looking forward to are Brendon McCullum, Chris Gayle and Ishant Sharma; otherwise, I don’t reckon KKR charging better than IPL 2.

Delhi Daredevilsdelhi daredevils ipl 2009

On paper, this team looks a winner. There are in-form Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Vettori, and Dilshan. The team is looking forward to go into finals in IPL 2.

Bangalore Royal Challengersbangalore royal challengers ipl 2009

It looks like IPL 2 will not see a rejuvenated Royal Challengers unless and until league owner Vijay Mallya pumps in the needed kick and motivation to the team captain (err… or captains?)

Mumbai Indians

Another dull-looking team on paper, but we know not Sanath and Sachin aremumbai indians ipl 2009 devious when they are in form no one can bowl to them. Bhajji and Malinga are bowlers we can look forward to.

So, there had been some amount of disappointment regarding venue change, but then Indian cricket fans are known for their frenzy attitude and are awaiting to cheer the respective teams even if its gonna be in South Africa. Mc Cullum , chris gayle, ishant sharma all are flop ..

Legend Saurav Ganguly is the God of indian cricket.. respect him.
Only he stood strong , last time also , and this year also,
as hes the only one who is contributing in batting and bowling.
but its impossible for a single person to carry the burden of the whole team.

That idiot srk has been blinded, by Buchanan and his flop coaching skills . Buchanan is ruining every thing.

British raaj is over , but still there are people like srk and vijaya mallya, who will forever remain in the shoes of white skin ones, bcoz they are born to do slavery (impressing the white skins is present in their blood and genes).

i know my post might be removed.. but you cant stop me from spreading the truth brother.
    i know truth hurts.
my comments are present in millions of blogs and sites over the net, and not all of them will remove it, coz not all likes to hide truth . God bless you. If youre a true indian , i hope u wont delete it

  • nuklear says:

I don’t know about Chris Gayle. But Mc Cullum is a big time LOOSER…

  • indianbyheart2009 says:

nice to hear from you bro.. Mc cullum is also a good cricketer. but he is not in his best form.

One thing i noticed about mc cullum is that , hes not at all a good captain. Not everyone can do captaincy.
Saurav dada is the ideal captain.. Hes dynamic, energetic and boosts his team , if hes given captaincy

in todays match in the last over, when kkr had a chance of winning, mc cullum ruined it all, by choosing gayle to bowl.
…i mean cmon, its just common sense, in 20-20 or in any format, batsman will rain sixes and fours if they get slow spin bowling.
…in last match also mendis bowled super over, and yusuf pathan thrashed him and earned rajasthan a victory.

Mc cullum, srk all became puppets, infront of buchanan.

  • Swati Rupam says:

I think there should be a team representing the east India as well as cricket unites the country i think IPL is the best way to spread the message. As we have United states of America …We will also have United states of India as well with no differences and happiness and peace all around.
