Assam: The northeastern state of India with its capital at Dispur is a quite paradise surrounded with seven sister states: Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Meghalaya. It also shares international borders with Bhutan & Bangladesh. It has rich resources of Tea, petroleum & silk to name a few. Congress has a strong hold in this part of the country where the population is approximately 26,655,528.
