UMG and YouTube jointly to launch music video site VEVO
YouTube, UMG Team up to Launch Premium Music Video Site – VEVO
Its music-video business that is buzzing all around and Google’s YouTube in partnership with Universal Music Group (UMG) is all set to launch later this year a revolutionary entertainment service named as VEVO. The VEVO site will feature music and music videos, an online music hub. The technology will be taken care by You Tube while the content of VEVO will be supplied by UMG.
Both Google and Universal Music CEOs are of the opinion that the revenue model is through sharing of advertisements on the site VEVO.com.
The total music catalog from UMG will be available and the users can access it through VEVO.com or through VEVO channel in You Tube equipped with VEVO embedded player.
This first move by Google and Universal Music is to be watched by other players such as Warner Music Group as well as Sony Music before they wet their feet on this new entertainment bandwagon.
Youtube is my favorite website and i am so addicted in watching music videos in it !
