Sony Vaio laptops come in white, granite silver and pink colors. It also uses different processors, mainly Intel Core Duo and Pentium. But in all, Sony Vaio laptops are ideally suited for today’s workforce. Slowness in speed and poor servicing is very irritating for officers with urgent projects. With Sony Vaio laptops, that can never be a problem.

They come in FW, VGN and BX types and scintillate in all of them. Prices are quite within the budget and that is a very smart feature.

Usability

Sony laptops have enviable installed memory of 4 GB that goes well with around 250 GB hard drive. Operating system vacillates from Vista Home to Windows XP Professional. There are usable optical drives and quiet DDR. Flexibility is awesome and there is little noise. Chassis quality is also good.

Webcam and other accessories like docking stations are in place. This is the feature in all laptops independent of prices. Of course standard escalate with rise in prices. Large screens with pixels showing 1440X900 resolution makes you feel that characters are coming out of the screen. The whole scenario is very alive.

Size

It is the weakest point of Sony Vaio laptops. They weigh quite heavy for carrying purposes at about 3.3 kilos. That is not an ideal weight to carry all around. Even length wise, Sony Vaio does not come at sizes below 15’4”.
However, that apart, service is exemplary. When you have a Sony, you just feel great. Larger screen size are helpful though as they make vision clearer. Working non-stop on small screens hurt the eye, much as small TVs do.

Price

Mainly, Sony Vaio sells in the 500 to 900 bracket, a highly reasonable price. Sony Vaio CR 520 with Intel Core Duo 2.1 GHz speed is available at 800 dollars. Similar version using Pentium processor at 1.6 GHz speed sells at about 900 dollars. The feeling of having a Sony laptop at such affordable prices is great. Top Sony laptops even reach about 1400 dollars.

However, it does not sell in the 300-400 range, most suited to college students and youth who live on pocket money.

Best of Sony Vaio Laptops

There is the Sony VGN NS235j with additional HDD 334 graphics in addition to regular feature. It is priced at abest sony vaio laptop meager 747 dollars. Then there is VGN FW370J/B with blue ray drive. They have similar feature and are similarly priced as well.

The best Sony laptop however is found at a slightly higher scale. The model is VGN FW378J/B; an escalated version of the former. With 16’ odd screens, there is good clarity. You get memory of 4 GB Ram along with 320 GB hard Drive. Intel Dual Core is the processor and works at 2.4 GHz. The optical drive is helped with Blue Ray. Price is high at 1375 dollars but you get apt quality.

Summation

Sony is a top brand name and its Vaio laptop passes through several quality checks. The price factor has been kept in concern and the features too. Weight is a negative factor but wholly, Sony Vaio is a force to reckon with.
