Bihar, the 3rd largest state of India is also one of the prominent states to decide the results of upcoming elections. Spread across the plains of river Ganga, its a land of very fertile soil, making agriculture as the largest industry of Bihar. The river Ganga divides the state in two parts namely north Bihar and South Bihar. The official language of Bihar is Hindi, flavored with several dialects like Mathily and Bhojpuri spoken in different regions. Once famous all over the world for its universities like Takshashila and Nalanda it is also the biggest producer of IAS officers. The population of Bihar is largely non-tribal. But ironically, around 85% of its population is living in rural area, far away from education, infrastructure and modern facilities.
