Calif. Sunday school teacher booked in child death
Sunday school teacher who none would have expected, is most likely culprit behind innocent 8-year-old girl Sandra Cantu’s disappearance and death.
The teacher was arrested last night on the grounds of suspicion regarding kidnap and murder of the girl. Sandra Cantu’s body was found stuffed in a box in a pond.
The teacher, who is a 28-year-old woman, was Melissa Huckaby was arrested last night after she was asked to report to the Tracy police. According to the Police Sergeant, Tony Sheneman, the teacher, Melissa Huckaby, had given leads of information that lead to her arrest.
The disappearance of the girl prompted so many volunteering for her search in Tracy neighborhood. The search surprisingly found the girl’s body in suitcase by some farm labor.
Huckaby who taught Sunday school children said that the girl visited her on 27th March, the day the girl found missing.
The 28-year-old arrested Melissa Huckaby is the granddaughter of one Clifford Lawless, who happens to be the pastor of Clover Road Baptist Church in Tracy. The police combed the church as part of their search for the girl.

It will be interesting to know what prompted a teacher to kill the sweet child Sandra Cantu.
My heart goes out to the girls family. The case teaches one thing. Never believe anyone, not even a SUNDAY CHURCH SCHOOL TEACHER (OMG!)
Teach your kids to report of bad touch and advances by anyone. If Melissa Huckaby is found guilty of killing sweet Sandra, she should be sentenced to death!

Sadly, poor Sandra and Sunday School teacher’s 5-year-old daughter are good friends.
The day slain girl, Sandra disappeared, she had been to Melissa’s home to ask if she could play with Melissa’s daughter. She was sent away as the girl was busy putting her toys away.
Sexual molestation angle had been ruled out as of now according to Tracy Police sgt. But we will need to wait for details on Sandra’s autopsy report. Whatever, it must have been devastating for Sandra’s family members. My heart cries in pain for them. May Sandra Cantu’s soul rest in eternal peace.
