Himachal Pradesh is situated in the heart of western Himalayas.The economy of the state is highly dependent on three sources: hydroelectric power, tourism and agriculture. The state is blessed with number of perennial rivers, namely Chenab, Ravi, Beas, Satluj and Yamuna. Majority of the population hear are Hindus with slight influence of Buddhism in the reagions where it shares its border with China. Himachal Pradesh has a population of about 5 million & 63 % of it are literate. Its a planned & organized state with power & water supply to all the villages.
