Saif Ali Khan to play a Sikh now for Love Aaj Kal. We’ve seen many shades of Saif Ali Khan but little has anybody seen him as a producer. Well, he is soon going to mantle the production department as well. The movie is christened, ‘Love Aaj Kal‘. Directed by Imtiaz Ali from the Jab We Met Fame, the movie stars the producer himself. He would paired alongside Deepika Padukone. Hmmm, before the minds turn imaginative with questions why Bebo was not part of this Saif-Imtiaz venture, well Kareena is going to be part of Chhote nawab’s second stint at production titled ‘Agent Vinod‘.
‘Love Aaj Kal’ is a story of a modern day couple Jay (Saif) and Meera (Deepika) and the impact of modern day practicality on relationships. The film also stars Rahul Khanna and Rishi Kapoor in supporting roles. Rahul Khanna brother to Akshya Khanna is making a comeback to the mainstream masala stuff, after being part of critically acclaimed Deepa Mehta’s 1947 Earth and Bollywood Hollywood starring Lisay Ray. Hopefully the director gets the best of all the actors like he did in ‘Jab We Met’ and ‘Socha na tha‘ and gifts this summer a cool and nice romantic movie for all the Aaj Kal ke Lovers.
