Andaman & Nicobar Islands are a group of 572 picturesque Islands, scattered like emeralds in the Bay of Bengal. It is a Union Territory, governed by the central government.The capital city is Port Blair. The state was once used as an isolated prison for members of the Indian independence movement by Britishers, known as Kalapani. The prison now is converted into a memorial for the freedom fighters. Andaman and Nicobar is one of the most beautiful states of india offering long spread of white beaches, a mesmerizing glance of under water life and adventures water sports.
