Chandigarh is located in north India. It is a Union Territory, administered by the central government. The name Chandigarh literally means as “the fort of Chandi”, Cahndi being another name for Goddess Durga. It serves as capital for two states, Panjab and Haryana. It is known for its architecture and urban planning.
