manipurManipur literally means “A jeweled land”. Located in the slopes of the south flowing Sub-Himalayan ranges and surrounded by 7 blue ranges of hills it is a part of Northern-eastern India. It is blessed with enchanting greenery and scenic beauty. It is also the birthplace of the game of Polo. After the independence of India, Manipur became a part of Indian union on October 15th, 1949.
