A New York man killed his wife, kids and self in a hotel room in Maryland. This shocks the Nation, as there is unprecedented increase in familicides in the recent times in US.

In what is suspected as homicide-suicide the police are still unclear as to who triggered homicides.

The 58-year-old William Parente is found dead with wife Betty who is also 58 years of age and daughters one Stephanie 19 years old and 11-year-old Catherine at Sheraton Baltimore North in the Baltimore County. The cause and the manner in which the family died will be released later today, but according to police there had been no motive behind the deaths.

However, the state attorney general’s office in New York on Tuesday received a complaint from a person who says he had invested hundreds of thousands of dollars with William M. Parente and that he is having trouble in getting back his money. Police are yet to ascertain a need to investigate the issue.

The Parente family; however, was last seen on Sunday noon. It was after the family did not check out the hotel on time that the workers of hotel in Towson checked on Monday noon, and found the bodies of all 4 in a guestroom on the 10th floor.

It is learnt that William Parente was a tax and estate planning lawyer who went to Manhattan regularly, and wife Betty is a stay-at-home mother sometimes volunteering with William and quite active in the neighborhood community. The daughters also are well behaved and liked by peers and teachers. Their home is in a plush community of neighborhood in Garden City in New York adjacent to a golf course. The neighbors identify the Parente family as wonderful beings. Maryland has second shock with the death of Parente’s family.
