Sony Ericsson W 705 Music Phone Launched in India

Sony Ericsson W 705 Music Phone

Sony Ericsson rolled out another great-looking handset, the Walkman Series W705. Here’s the review of Sony Ericsson’s W705.

If looks are all Then, the new W 705 is a wonderfully crafted handset, with 2.4-inch display and has a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and 256k colors. I found it bright and it sports good clarity for all-light viewing conditions. The entire navigation keys are almost as similar as any other Sony Ericsson handsets and you will not fumble to use the 5-way navigational pad or even the shortcut keys.

The slider is not smoothie and you will not see any grip to see that it will slid without jerks. But keypad is comfortable for any age groups. The volume keys are present above the camera key.

This time the charge cable has in built socket so you can still listen to your favorite music while charging the handset. There is an adapter for handsfree so you can use your choice of earphones. The walkman key is on top and used for player as well as changing tracks. There is a shake proof feature too.

The M2 card slot is under the rear panel (something irritating). Thankfully, you don’t have to remove battery for accessing. There’s a 4GB card that comes as package with handset so that’s generous by Sony. But you should chose Media transfer then the handset could be used as Media Transfer Protocol device so the handset will not go offline during file transfer using an USB.

The animated menu is not a great thing and it kind of runs the charge out of battery pretty soon maybe simpler themes could be downloaded to save on the charge. The 3-mp camera is given on the rear side and secondary camera is given near the earpiece. In all, despite some flip sides the new W705 is a funky handset ready to woo the music lovers.

The screen of the Sony Ericsson W705 seems bigger than many other Sony Ericsson phones which is a progress. Navigation design – three round pads on the front panel is so of Sony Ericsson style, while when slided the keypad looks like that of Samsung slider phones which is elegant and fashion. A middle end Walkman series phone with 3G capability, that’s great. But if it packs a GPS things will be better.P.S. I prefer black version!
