Shah Rukh Khan Banned by IPL for smoking?

KKR team is giving hard time to SRK on field. The team although is playing well could not live up to the expectations of fans and team owner Shah Rukh Khan. No doubt these are testing times for the star and although he seems to juggle his roles very well, stress is taking a toll of him and the chain smoker Shah Rukh is he didn’t hesitate to light up a stick the other day (April 21, 2009) when he was watching his team KKR play against Rajasthan Royals.
Shah Rukh Khan was spotted lighting a stick on the stands. While his fans take this casual it didn’t go well with the IPL authorities especially the anti-smoke authorities.
The smoking ban in public places which includes grounds in India might make Shah Rukh Khan’s actions unpardonable and the official broadcasters of DLF IPL 2009, Supersport, say that as smoking in public places is not banned in South Africa we will consider this as first mistake and excuse the actor. The management will give a first warning to the star and if he continues doing so, authorities say that they will not hesitate to ban him from the stadium. The authorities say that they inform managements of staid to make announcements of no smoking through the match and breaks during a match.
