F1 team McLaren escape with suspended 3 Race Ban
Formula One Team McLaren fortunately escaped the hearing, in Paris, for probe on lie gate issue, with suspended three-race ban by the World Motor Sport Council.
Team McLaren breached rules of Motor Sport at both Australian and Malaysian Grand Prix races this season.
In a statement, the World Motor Sport Council says that team McLaren’s Boss Martin Whitmarsh admitted to 5 breaches of the International Sporting Code. It is for the Team being open and honest that they have escaped a penalty, after the Council probed the lie gate issue.
The penalty of 3-race ban will come into picture again should there be further breach by Team McLaren within the next year’s time conforming to article 151c of International Sporting Code or of new facts emerge in course of time.
