Rajasthan Royals’s given a check by Chennai Superkings with a 38-run win. It was Raina’s day who rained runs for the desperate-for-win CSK. He gave a competitive score of 164 for the Superkings although Munaf bowled well and Warne contained some runs with impressive bowling. When they started, all did not go well for the Royals and Smith fell too early. Pathan tried to continue his splendid form but again it was Raina on the long on who took a brilliant catch. They lost with 38 runs short. Tomorrow RR will meet DC in another must-win match!
Deccan Chargers who looked like they were a no-stopping team were given a shock by the Delhi Daredevils who chose to bowl first paid off. But there had been some good lessons from the match and some new hopes. T Suman looked at ease joining the company of Smith in milling runs but 148 runs looked small to defend and Daredevils could win; courtesy some batting by Dilshan.
It will be very interesting to see moves of Gilly and Warne when the two teams clash tomorrow in Port Elizabeth (4 p.m IST) , and I reckon it would be cracker of a match and so will have my retinas fixed to television set throughout.
