Ty and wife Jewel Eliminated – Dancing with the Stars Results
Ty Murray eliminated from `Dancing With the Stars’
With the Dancing with the Stars finals just a week down the lane, another star couple shown the doors today. However, this time it is the 9-time world champion and Rodeo Cowboy Ty Murray who was sent packed off.
Both Ty and wife Jewel were shown the doors, and this means DWTS will go ahead into next week with Gilles Marini, the Bachelor fame Melissa Rycroft and Shawn Johnson.
Ty Murray scored 48 points, the least after Monday’s show and that spelt doomsday for the Rodeo cowboy. Nonetheless the bull rider received a standing ovation as soon as his elimination was announced including from DWTS judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Toniolo and Len Goodman.
Gilles Marini scored highest points on the table post Monday’s performance, and that’s 60. Both Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke had gotten 10 each from the 3 judges for salsa and the waltz.
Shawn Johnson with her partner Mark Ballas got a perfect 10 for Argentine Tango, but could not earn the same in their jive when they got 26 points from the 3 judges. In total they scored 56.
Then, Melissa Rycroft with her partner Tony Dovolani earned in total 55 both for quickstep and cha cha.
Monday’s judges’ scores were calculated with viewers’ votes to determine which celebrity would be eliminated on Tuesday.
Ty could not score well in the latin dance Samba. In fact Len quipped that he looked like a Murray (dancing fame Arthur Murray) in a hurry. He scored 48 on 60 and that makes 39-year-old bull rider turned dancer Ty and his partner, wife, Jewel stand first from last. Nevertheless, the rodeo earned lots of respect from the judges for his can-do attitude and approach with Len Goodman remarking, “if the others have climbed hills, you have climbed mountains.”
The new DWTS dancing champ partners will be crowned championship next Tuesday.
