Strong quake shakes tall buildings in Mexico City

The Swine flu scare is still not subsided and Mexico City had to face yet another contingency when a strong earthquake had shook and rattled several buildings in the neighboring Puebla state on Friday. The earthquake had seen frightened people running helter-skelter into streets. However, there have been no immediate reports on damage or injuries. While the US Geological Survey measured the quake intensity at 5.7 on the Richter scale with epicenter 140 km southeast of the capital of Puebla, the Mexican Seismological Survey measured to be at a 5.9 magnitude.
The facebook and Twitter networks were flooded with Mexicans sending warnings to their friends and families.
As soon as the earth shook the residents across the city; around 20 millions are seen gathered on the sidewalks, and for sometime they were skeptical to go and settle back in their homes and offices.
Puebla Police are seen patrolling the streets to identify for injuries and/or damage from the Friday noon.
