Debris confirms crash of Air France Flight AF 447

Debris spotted by planes off Brazil coast belongs to the missing Air France Flight 447. According to Brazilian Defense Minister Nelson Jobim, the debris found in the south Atlantic undoubtedly belongs to Air France flight AF 447 that disappeared off carrying 228 people on board. The Brazilian search planes on Tuesday spotted a band of wreckage including orange colored buoy (the cushioned seats), metal pieces, and fuel slick floating on waters about 650 km northeast off the Brazilian coast.
Further examination of the wreckage by two Brazil’s naval vessels, confirm that it came from Air France Flight 447. However, there was absolutely no trace of survivors.
Although it is extremely difficult to combat with the depth and turbulent weather of the Atlantic, France government is planning to send, unmanned submarines to the Atlantic to search for the jet’s flight data recorders including black box recorders (please note that black boxes give signals for 30 days) as well as any other wreckage that could give a clue or two as to how the incident happened. The French Prime Minister quoted of saying, “we are in a race against the clock in extremely difficult weather conditions and in a zone where depths reach up to 7,000 meters.
