Big Brother 2009 will be the 10th series of the British reality television series Big Brother, that will begin today i.e. 4th June 2009. Big Brother 10 UK will be aired on Channel 4 and E4 throughout the summer. It has been confirmed since 2006 as part of a £180m contract with Endemol which will take Big Brother up to 2010. The series will be sponsored by Lucozade in the place of Virgin Media, which sponsored the 2008 series. The 16 participants will be competing over 13 weeks to win a a £100,000 prize

The following is a list of housemates from the 2009 Big Brother UK Series;

• Rodrigo Lopes: A 23 year-old student from Manchester. He is Brazilian and bisexual.
• Noirin Kelly: 25 year old Retail Manager from Dublin. Her father is a minister.
• Lisa Wallace: 41 year-old Lesbian with a distinctive pink mohican haircut. She is unemployed.
• Kris Donnelly: 24 year-old visual merchandiser from Manchester.

Big Brother 2009 UK Houseguests

• Freddie George-Fisher: 23 year-old web programmer from Market Drayton who went to Oxford, where he studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics.
• Sophie Reade: 20 year-old model from Cheshire. She has appeared as a Page 3 model.
• Cairon Austin-Hill: 18 year-old student from America.
• Angel McKenzie: 35 year old Professional Boxer from Russia. She lives in London and runs a keep-fit class in Herne Hill.
• Karly Ashworth: 21 year old model from Fife. She reached number 16 in FHM’s Top High Street Honeys.
• Marcus Akin: 35 year-old Carpenter/glazier from Brentford who looks like Wolverine and owns a Motorbike.
• Beinazir Lasharie: 28 year old receptionist, named after Benazir Bhutto. From South London.
• Sophia Brown: She is a dwarf. 26 year-old from Herne Hill, She works in banking.
• Charlie Drummond: 22 year-old Jobcentre Advisor from Newcastle. He is a former Mr Gay Newcastle and was the runner up for Mr Gay UK.
• Saffia Corden: 27 year-old dental nurse and single mother of two children by two different men.
• Sree Desari: Age 25, a Student Union President. A Hindu form India. In England studying for a Masters degree in international business, at Hertfordshire
• Siavash Sabbaghpour: 23 year old, Event Organizer / Stylist / Model. Born in Iran, but left there at an early age.
