Wimbledon 2009: Will Rafael Nadal Participate ?
Injured Nadal withdraws from Wimbledon 2009
Rafael Nadal, his name enthuses hell of interest in the world of Tennis and why not he is considered as thorn in the flesh of Roger Federer who had been winner at the All England Club for 5 times. Ever since Nadal came to tennis circuits the form of Roger Federer has been sliding; or if someone didn’t like the way I put it I will say that Nadal has been continuously challenging the supremacy of Federer; whether it is grass or hard or clay court.
And the kick of a win is quite high when it comes from a strong opponent; and it also equally ignites the fervor amongst the tennis followers. The 2 tennis greats; Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal while challenging each other on court have created a furor among public that anything between the two has now become a subject of international interest.
There are many who say that it was Rafael Nadal’s early exit from Roland Garros and that is why Federer could win at last his first Grand Slam title at the recently concluded French Open. While Federer might not like this, it is still what everyone believe; no Nadal and that makes easy for Roger Federer to advance in a tournament.
Wimbledon 2008 winner Rafael Nadal’s Wimbledon 2009 defense still hangs in doubt as he faces knee problems and he is in Spain getting all tests done (MRI scan, ultrasound and gammagraphy tests) to treat his tendonitis. The powerful Spaniard is in the hope that he will go and defend his title at Wimbledon 2009 which is round the corner in 10 days time, starting on June 22, 2009. So fingers still crossed for Rafael Nadal fans and entire Tennis brethren who would love to see the two play in Wimbledon 2009 finals again.

Defending champion Rafael Nadal withdrew from Wimbledon on Friday after failing to recover from chronic tendinitis. His aching knees forced him out of the Queen’s Club warm-up event and after two losses at the Hurlingham exhibition tournament this week, he decided to pull out.
The injury was apparent during the French Open, when the Spaniard, who had not lost a match at Rolland Garros, fell in the fourth round to Robin Soderling of Sweden.
