Farrah Fawcett Funeral Set for Tuesday
It was on June 30 that the candles were burnt, caskets laid and mourners lined up for the funeral for actress Farrah Fawcett at the Cathedral Of Our Lady of the Angels in LA in a private ceremony.
Fans and the fourth estate waited outside as it wasn’t open to the public.
The hearse was pulled up with 10 motorcycle officers accompanying it while her casket was laid into ground with yellow and orange flowers. After a prolonged three year public battle with deadly cancer she breathed her last at the age of 62.
Farrah Fawcett’s incarcerated son Redmond O Neal was allowed to leave prison and attend his mother’s funeral. However, Farrah could never walk down the aisle to wed her long time boyfriend Ryan O Neal. What Ryan O Neal could do was to arrange for the funeral ceremony.
Amongst the mourners, early arrival at the funeral was Alana Stewart, Farrah’s longtime friend and co-star Kate Jackson. Griffin O Neal, son of Ryan O Neal and Joanna Moore was; however, barred from entering into the funeral site.
However both Redmond O Neal and Ryan O Neal kept weeping as they listened to the service. A letter written by Farrah to her son and father was also read out.
Whispers of prayers filled the ambience and she will continue to live in the heart of her beloved with sweet memories.
