The reality television show Big Brother 2009 is all set to take off this summer for the 11th time. The American TV series will be aired on the CBS TV network on the 9th of July and will be telecast thrice a week. Three days after the finale of the Big Brother 10, CBS confirmed the 11th edition. Rumors were doing the rounds that Julie Chen will not host the Big Brother show this season, as she was expecting her child, but then she has recently confirmed that she will continue to anchor the show with her co-host Allison Grodner.

During the final week of the 10th edition Big brother cast for the 11th season was initiated. CBS has also given out the information that the show will in fact have 12 guests introduced in the house and the mystery guest is likely to visit the house on the premiere show and this mystery guest is supposedly a former contestant of the Big Brother show. The Big Brother 11 participants will be segregated into to two groups that comprises of people from varied fields; bikini model, neuroscientist, model-actor, martial arts exponent, teacher, graphic designer, make-up artist, waitress, store manager, salesman and a journalist.

Big Brother 2009 has a casting of youngsters and the oldest participant of the show is a 41 year old who is teacher in the day and a DJ during night. Big Brother 11 house has turned green this time around. Last but not the least the Big Brother CBS reality show will give away prize money of $ 500,000 to the winner at the grand finale! The winner has to gain the brownie points over the rest of the contestants and will be constantly under watchful eyes of many cameras in the two-floor house. The Big Brother cast disclosed in an interview that they would be missing their respective families during the show.
