Perseid Meteor Shower – Last chance for best meteor viewing tonight! – Tonight is going to be the last chance for you to be able to get the best viewing of the meteor shower. In case you didn’t know, once a year, from about July – August, Earth passes through the debris field that is left by the Swift-Tuttle Comet and so because of that, many people are treated to a spectacular viewing of meteor showers at night.

During the day you cant see meteor showers because of the sun and the brightness but once the sun goes down and everything goes dark, you can and tonight is supposed to be extra special because hundreds of years ago, the comet passed by Saturn and thus trapped a pocket of debris. Well, Earth is now passing through that pocket of debris and so if you live in North America, there will be extra intensity because of the increased number of meteors that are available. How is that possible? Well, as the debris was caught by Saturn’s Gravity, the pocket over the years has drifted through space and has now reached earth for our enjoyment. So don’t miss out today, remember to watch this once in a lifetime viewing!
