UFC 107 | UFC 107 Penn vs Sanchez
Come December 12, 2009 and all is set for the MMA event. Although, all is heated up between Penn and Sanchez, it would be a point to note on whether the UFC fan is indeed missing out on thrill and drama. There have been a few changes in the player’s lists. First, Paul Thiago was substituted by Jon Fitch. This was due to the reason that Ricardo Almeida, the designated opponent for Jon went down with an injury. Paul Thiago had been the winner on November 21, UFC 106 defeating rookie Jacob Volkmann. It was a thumping victory for Paul and it is indeed sad that he would be missing UFC 107. His fans also appear disheartened as they expected him to win, considering his current blazing form.
Then, Thiago Alves had to withdraw his name from the championship due to a posterior cruciate ligament tear. So Jon Fitch was announced to fight against Mike Pierce. There have been some changes on the card as well. Todd Duffee was slated to face Paul Buentello but again, injury played the wild card here! Todd had to pull out. It is now between Buentello and Stefan Struve.
